Alexander Ezenagu
Director
Alexander Ezenagu is a Director at Bandaree, and leads the tax and investment portfolios. He is a Cambridge-trained lawyer, who is qualified to practice in Nigeria. He specializes in the following areas of law: investment advisory; international tax law, transfer pricing, and tax planning; commercial law advisory and practice; and a broad range of legal advisory and research services.
He worked for Banwo & Ighodalo, Templars, Ernst & Young Nigeria; and the International Centre for Tax and Development (ICTD), United Kingdom. Alexander has consulted (and still consults, in some cases) for the Federal Inland Revenue Services, Nigeria; TaxCoop Canada; ActionAid UK; OXFAM; Tax Justice Network-Africa; International Consortium for Investigative Journalism (ICIJ); and the Financial Times, amongst others.
Alexander holds a Master of Law degree (LL.M) in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge, United Kingdom, and is currently completing a doctorate in International Tax Law at McGill University, Canada.
Alexander is published in the Brooklyn Journal of International Law, Asper Review of International Business and Trade Law, and Wolters Kluwer Series on International Taxation, among others. He is a contributor at "The Exchange" East Africa's Investment Gateway Newsletter. He writes on law, tax and development issues.
